Nancy's Obituary



Nancy Louise Bockler of Gilbert, AZ passed away in Phoenix on January 29, 2015; she was 60 yrs old.

Nancy was born on December 26, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to Arnold and Frances Filante. She grew up in Washington, Illinois and graduated from Washington Community High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Spring Arbor University. Her career in the insurance industry spanned 40 years, most recently as a Quote and Bind Supervisor at State Farm. She attained many industry designations that include CLU, ChFC, LUTCF, CASL, and FSS. She was also a member of NAIFA since 1979.

Through the course of her career, Nancy called many places “home.”  These locations include Saginaw, MI, North Attleboro, MA, Olathe, KS, Washington, IL, and Gilbert, AZ.  Nancy never knew a stranger; she loved everyone and was loved by all.  Some of her favorite things include spending time with family, being outdoors by the pool, camping, and traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 6 years, Mark Bockler of Gilbert, AZ, her daughter Kelly (Phillip) Pagels of Gilbert, her son Scott (Meagan) Brannin of Texas, her brother Philip (Andrea) Filante of Illinois, stepdaughter Amanda (Tony) Ware of Illinois, six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W. Juniper Ave., Gilbert, AZ.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 10:00, also at Falconer Funeral Home, with interment following at City of Mesa Cemetery, Mesa, AZ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
